Although he is briefly reunited with Cleopatra during a magnificent reception for the Queen in Rome, Caesar is assassinated shortly thereafter, and Cleopatra returns to Egypt. Knowing the vast problems that beset this movie,and the real life drama that was being played out whilst this film was being made,adds a tremendous dimension to the finished product.
